Dear Santa Claus,

Only 47 days til CHRISTMAS!!! Oh my I have lots of work to do. It is cold here…brrrrrr. Some of the elves think it is colder than it has ever been. I don’t know about that. We have had some awful storms before Christmas in years past. Why I remember one storm…It was back in 1951, we had snow I mean SNOW. The reindeer and I were flying over the United States dropping presents down the chimneys when we ran into one of the biggest snowstorms I have ever seen on Christmas. Some places recorded 17 to 20 inches of snow. That doesn’t sound too bad , unless you are up in the dark sky in the middle of it! BLIZZARD!! yikes! Of course everything worked out, as it always does ,but it was a little scary when we could hardly see. That was one night I shall never forget. Thank Heaven Rudolph was along or many of the boys and girls may not have gotten their presents! Rudolph with your nose so bright you did guide our sleigh that night! HO Ho HO! It was almost daylight when we finished. I thought for sure someone would see us but I never heard. Maybe you heard about someone who saw us. Tell me about it, won’t you? Do you want snow for Christmas?
